TASHKENT, March 27. /“Dunyo” IA/. A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the Ministry of Health, the Direct Investment Fund of Uzbekistan and the Saudi company Dr. Sulaiman AL-Habib Medical Group (HGM), reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
According to Uzbekistan MIFT, HGM (Dr. Sulaiman AL-Habib Medical Group) is one of the leading private sector healthcare providers in the Middle East. The company manages 18 medical institutions in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain.
In accordance with the document, modern technologies will be introduced into the healthcare management system of Uzbekistan to digitize and centralize all medical data and processes of interaction with patients, including a pilot program to connect a large Tashkent hospital to IT solutions supplied by HMG.
HMG Medical Academy will be established in Uzbekistan to train and improve the skills of Uzbekistan medical workers. Up to 10 junior medical staff from Uzbekistan will be sent to HMG hospitals in Saudi Arabia for internships each year to improve their skills.
It is also envisaged to create a modern multidisciplinary medical complex in Tashkent in accordance with the standards of HMG clinics and hospitals, equipped with advanced and modern technologies.
The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov and Minister of Investment of Saudi Arabia Khalid Al-Falih.
