Minister of Foreign Affairs meets with President of the University of Tsukuba

TASHKENT, December 26. /“Dunyo” IA/. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov has met with the head of the Japan Association of National Universities, President of the University of Tsukuba, Kyosuke Nagata, in Tokyo, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.


According to Uzbekistan MFA, the parties discussed the prospects for bilateral cooperation in education, science and training highly qualified personnel for the economy of Uzbekistan.

The Japanese side was informed about the Address of the President of Uzbekistan to the Oliy Majlis and the people. It was emphasized that in Uzbekistan significant efforts and funds are directed to the comprehensive development of the education system and training of qualified personnel.

The Japanese side highly appreciated the measures taken by the President of Uzbekistan for the comprehensive modernization of science and education.

Kyosuke Nagata noted that the announcement of 2023 as the Year of Human Care and Quality Education is a vivid manifestation of the President’s particular attention to education.

The President of the Japan Association of National Universities expressed his readiness to make additional efforts to promote a partnership between the universities of the two countries.
