Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan meets with the President of Turkmenistan


TASHKENT, February 18. /“Dunyo” IA/. Yesterday, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov was received by the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, in Ashgabat, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to Uzbekistan MFA, the Minister conveyed the message of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

The parties exchanged views on the practical implementation of the agreements reached during the high-level visits.

It was noted that thanks to the political will of the leaders of the two countries, interstate relations have reached a qualitatively new level. Cooperation in the political, trade-economic, investment, transport-communication, cultural-humanitarian and other spheres has significantly intensified. Interaction is supported within the framework of international and regional organizations.

Special attention is paid to the prospects for the development of multilateral cooperation in Central Asia, the implementation of infrastructure and transport-communication projects to enter new regional markets.

Other issues of mutual interest were also discussed during the talks.
