MINSK, September 21. /“Dunyo” IA /. Representatives of the Unions of Writers of Uzbekistan and Belarus exchanged views on cooperation, current issues and creative plans for the future, reports correspondent of “Dunyo” IA.
The experts discussed the development of literary ties between Uzbekistan and Belarus, the achieved results and initiatives in this direction.
At the meeting the participants agreed to publish Alisher Navoi’s works in Belarusian, to prepare for the printing a special issue of “Mladosts” magazine dedicated to the modern Uzbek poetry, and to publish Kuchkor Norkobil’s book “The First Day of War” in Uzbek, Russian and Belarusian languages.
During the conversation, information was also provided on the work carried out by the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan to translate modern Belarusian literature into Uzbek, in particular the works of Belarusian writers Alesya Badak, Larisa Rublevskaya, Oleg Zhdan, as well as samples of Belarusian children's literature.
