Saudi Arabia shows interest in saffron products grown in Uzbekistan

RIYADH, April 2. /“Dunyo” IA/. Yesterday, Ambassador of Uzbekistan Ulugbek Maksudov has met with the head of the Saudi Arabia company Sunbula Technologies Est, Ubaidullah Siddiqi, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

The Ambassador handed over to the head of the company samples of saffron grown in Uzbekistan by the ВМВTrade Group. This product has been inspected and certified by the Saudi Food & Drug Authority (SFDA).

The head of Sunbula Technologies Est also said that he would like to study the possibility of exporting products from Uzbekistan from natural honey and mountain herbs. According to him, the demand for organic medicinal products is high in Saudi Arabia.

Information was provided on the ongoing efforts to create a transport corridor connecting Central and South Asia. The creation of such a convenient transport corridor in the shortest possible time will have a positive effect on trade and economic relations between the countries of the region.

The interlocutor expressed hope that the construction of a new transport corridor will significantly increase the trade turnover between Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan.
