Special Representative of the President and the British Ambassador exchanged views on the current situation in Afghanistan

TASHKENT, August 25. /“Dunyo” IA/. Yesterday, Special Representative of the President for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev met with the British Ambassador Timothy Torlot, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.


According to Uzbekistan MFA, views were exchanged on the current situation in Afghanistan, the efforts of the international community in the peaceful settlement of the Afghan crisis.

The parties also discussed the priority areas of Uzbekistan – British cooperation in the Afghan direction.

The British Ambassador expressed his sincere gratitude to the Leadership of Uzbekistan for actively assisting in the evacuation of employees of diplomatic missions in Afghanistan, as well as local personnel from among Afghans, in transit through the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
