Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan met with the IOM Sub-Regional Coordinator for Central Asia

TASHKENT, March 29. /“Dunyo” IA/. Yesterday, the Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev met with the Sub-Regional Coordinator of the International Organization for Migration for Central Asia Zeynal Hajiyev, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the Uzbekistan MFA, during the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of relations between Uzbekistan and the International Organization for Migration, including in the Afghan direction.

Zeynal Hajiyev stressed the significant role of Uzbekistan in establishing long-term and sustainable peace in Afghanistan.

The IOM delegation was informed about Uzbekistan's efforts to provide humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people, including through the possibilities of a Multifunctional transport and logistics hub in Termez, as well as economic assistance to this country.
