The Ambassador of Uzbekistan in Japan and the Parliamentary Deputy Minister of foreign affairs of Japan discussed issues of enhancing cooperation


TASHKENT, October 7. /Dunyo IA/. Ambassador Gayrat Fazilov has met with the newly appointed the Parliamentary Deputy Minister of foreign affairs of Japan, Satoshi Nakanishi, reports IA “Dunyo” correspondent.

At the meeting, the parties noted the historical nature of the official visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Japan in December 2019, which brought bilateral relations to a new level. They emphasized the importance, despite the coronavirus pandemic, of intensifying efforts to practically implement all the agreements reached during the visit.

Issues of further enhancing interaction in political, trade and economic spheres, as well as mutual support of candidates from Uzbekistan and Japan within the framework of international organizations were discussed.

Plans for joint work in order to successfully hold the 8th Meeting of Foreign Ministers of the “Central Asia + Japan” Dialogue in 2021 in Tokyo, as well as to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Japan in 2022, were also discussed at the meeting.
