The current state and prospects of development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Norway under discussion

TASHKENT, March 16. /“Dunyo” IA/. Head of the Department for Cooperation with European Countries and EU Institutions Oybek Shakhavdinov held talks with the Director General of the Department for Security Policy and the High North of the Norwegian Foreign Ministry Knut Hauge, via videoconference, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

The current state and prospects for the development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Norway, in particular, issues of enhancing political and trade-economic cooperation, as well as deepening parliamentary ties between the countries were discussed at the meeting.

The interlocutor noted that the Norwegian side welcomes the constitutional reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on working out the issue of organizing the next round of political consultations in the first half of this year in Oslo and exchanging visits of parliamentary delegations of the two states.
