The Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan and the Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan discussed the implementation of the project to create the International Trade and Economic Cooperation Center “Central Asia”


TASHKENT, April 8. /“Dunyo” IA/. Yesterday, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov has held virtual talks with the Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan Bakhyt Sultanov, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan, the parties discussed the current issues of investment, trade, economic, transport and logistics cooperation.

Positively assessing the dynamically growing level of Uzbekistan – Kazakhstan economic partnership, the parties emphasized the significant untapped potential for increasing trade by eliminating existing barriers to trade between the two countries.

The practical significance of the implementation of the project to create the International Trade and Economic Cooperation Center “Central Asia” in the border areas of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan was noted.

Following the negotiations, the parties expressed mutual readiness for further work aimed at ensuring the accelerated growth of bilateral investment, trade and economic cooperation.
