The interest of Flemish entrepreneurs in Uzbekistan grows

BRUSSELS, February 6. /“Dunyo” IA/. Representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the Benelux countries held talks with Dirk Van Steerteghem, Director of Trade at Flanders Investment & Trade, and Bart Van den Bossche, Area Manager, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT) is the Flemish agency for international business. Its task is to help Flemish companies enter the international market and attract foreign investors to Flanders.

The parties exchanged views regarding the current development of bilateral cooperation between the Flemish region and Uzbekistan, the trends for further building up mutually beneficial contacts in promoting exports and attracting foreign investment.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to maintain contact regularly, exchange information, and, in addition, study the issue of a trade mission’s visit to Uzbekistan under the auspices of FIT.
