The President of Uzbekistan started his visit to Karakalpakstan with a textile enterprise in Kegeyli district, where 500 jobs are created

TASHKENT, March 30. /“Dunyo” IA/. Today, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Aktuba Textile enterprise in Kegeyli district, Karakalpakstan, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the press service of the Head of state, previously, there was no industrial production in the area. The results of the ongoing work on structural reforms in the economy, interregional cooperation are also embodied here. In particular, three projects were implemented in the district together with Andijan entrepreneurs.

Among them is Aktuba Textile enterprise, which is capable of producing more than 3 million knitwear per year. The company has modern equipment from Germany, Japan and Turkey. 500 jobs are created. It is planned to export products worth $6 million a year.

The President got acquainted with the production process, talked with the workers. Emphasizing the special importance of the emergence of such enterprises in remote areas and the employment of women in them, he instructed the responsible persons to continue work in this direction.

A retraining center has been organized at the enterprise. Here, unemployed residents of nearby mahallas will be trained in professions.
