TASHKENT, October 8. /“Dunyo” IA/. Yesterday, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Syrdarya region, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
According to the press service of the head of our state, the President of Uzbekistan got acquainted with the activities of Sirdaryo Mega Lux joint venture. Last year, the production of large-capacity polypropylene bags was launched here. These bags, also known as flexible containers, can carry loads between 500 and 5,000 kilograms. They are widely used today in manufacturing, trade, agriculture, and logistics. Sirdaryo Mega Lux is capable of producing 132 million of these containers per year.
The enterprise, consisting of seven buildings, is consistently developing. In May this year, the production of the double-layer film was launched. Production of stretch films and nonwovens using spunbond technology will begin in the coming months.
Currently, more than 2 thousand people work here. When these projects reach their full capacity, the number of jobs will reach 5 thousand.
The company exports its products to 14 countries, including Russia, Israel, Belarus, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. New projects will serve to increase the volume of exports to $215 million.
The Head of the state was also provided with information on future projects.
So, in the next five years, it is planned to create a technopark for the production of polymer products and implement eight projects worth $350 million. For this, they will attract investments for $260 million and technologies from Germany, Italy and Austria.
The President noted the need for paying special attention not only to the economy, but also to the social efficiency of projects.
“The raw materials for these products are in our homeland. If we use this wisely and ensure a balance between price and quality. Our products will be competitive. It is necessary to deal with not only economic, but also socio-economic projects. Both entrepreneurs and people should receive income”, said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Instructions were given to double the volume of production and to build housing for workers.
As part of the trip, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Doniyor Yuldashev’s house, a resident of Shirin mahalla in Syrdarya district, and talked with family members.
In the yard with an area of 10 acres, the family grows fruit and ornamental trees, vegetables, contains 30 purebred turkeys and from this receives up to 25 million UZS of additional income per year.
The Head of the state highly appreciated the farm and noted that there should be as many such landscaped courtyards as possible throughout the country.
“The purpose of my trips to the regions, my daily efforts are to make people happy with life, to achieve an increase in per capita income. Previously, we sold raw materials abroad. And now we are processing it at home, producing finished products. Companies are opening, our young people, women are getting jobs. The development must take place primarily in the mahalla to expand this phenomenon. If the mahalla is flourishing, then the state will be strong. If we bring up youth as educated people, they will be able to find their way, their business”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.

14 high-rise buildings were built here in 2019-2020. Today the construction of 7 more nine-storey buildings with 504 apartments has begun, 100 of which will be provided to low-income families on preferential terms. A youth labor center, a stadium and playgrounds will also be built.
The President noted the importance of expanding services in the new neighborhood, organizing enterprises and providing employment for residents.
“The main factors in reducing poverty are the availability of housing and employment”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said. – Great opportunities are provided for these purposes. We announced that starting this year there will be no shortages or restrictions on financial resources for mortgage lending. Many homes can be built with the participation of entrepreneurs.
A sincere conversation took place here with representatives of the older generation.
“Once Syrdarya region specialized only in agriculture. In recent years, modern industry has come. Such houses are being built. Why? People have purchasing power. Now we must keep up the pace. Because our youth is growing up, people’s needs are growing. Our state must create the appropriate conditions”, the President said.
The elders expressed their views on the changes taking place in the region, on the upbringing of young people.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Entrepreneurs and Craftsmen Center under construction in Gulistan.
The center will provide legal advice and organizational assistance to those wishing to start their own business, train youth in crafts, and hold exhibitions.
The advantage of the center is its location on the bank of Dustlik canal. The territory has been landscaped, a beautiful alley has been created. Ornamental trees have been planted. Pedestrian and bicycle paths and fountains have been built. Mini-libraries have been built next to the benches.
The center will become not only a place for business, but also cultural leisure.
