Uzbekistan at the Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II is represented by the First Vice Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis

TASHKENT, September 20. /“Dunyo” IA/. Uzbekistan delegation led by the First Vice Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Sodik Safoyev will attend the grand state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to foreign media, the Queen will be buried today in the St. George’s Chapel in Windsor together with her late husband.

About 2 thousand people will take part in the service in Westminster Abbey, which will complete the 10-day national mourning.

As previously reported, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev extended condolences to the King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Charles III on the death of his mother Queen Elizabeth II. In his letter, the Head of the state noted that Queen Elizabeth II was a great statesman, for more than 70 years of her reign as a symbol of the unity and rapid development of the country, she made an incomparable contribution to the transformation of the Kingdom into one of the leading states in the world economy and politics, increasing its prestige and authority in the international arena.
