Uzbekistan delegation to attend an Extraordinary Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers

TASHKENT, December 20. /“Dunyo” IA/. Uzbekistan delegation led by the Minister of Transport Ilkhom Mahkamov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan Shah Mahmood Qureshi, in Islamabad, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

Uzbekistan delegation arrived in Pakistan to attend an Extraordinary Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers. The meeting is dedicated to the humanitarian situation in Afghanistan.

According to Pakistan MFA, during the talks, the main attention was paid to trade and economic relations and the agenda of interaction.

The need for the earliest possible implementation of the Agreement on Transit Trade between Uzbekistan and Pakistan was emphasized. The parties noted with satisfaction the progress achieved in the implementation of the Trans-Afghan Railway project and expressed their commitment to its timely completion.
