Uzbekistan, Malaysia develop cooperation in education


KUALA LUMPUR, April 20. /“Dunyo” IA/. The Ambassador of Uzbekistan Ravshan Usmanov has met with the Founder and Managing Director of Brickfields Asia College, Raja Singham, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

The parties discussed issues of attracting the Malaysian side to establish possible cooperation with Uzbekistan educational institutions on organizing joint training programs.

Raja Singham highly appreciated the reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan, including the Concept for the Development of the Higher Education System until 2030, aimed at raising the process of training independently-minded highly qualified personnel with modern knowledge and high spiritual and moral qualities to a qualitatively new level.

He emphasized the importance of further building up inter-university cooperation with leading foreign educational institutions in Uzbekistan, which will contribute to the formation of the country as an educational hub in the region.

Following the talks, an agreement was reached to establish cooperation with Karshi State University and IT Park of Kashkadarya region to organize joint educational programs for training highly qualified personnel.
