KUALA LUMPUR, May 11. /“Dunyo” IA/. Virtual talks have been held between the representatives of Termez State University and City University Malaysia with the assistance of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kuala Lumpur, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
The Malaysian side was informed about the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan in the education, youth policy, socio-economic development and training of qualified personnel, as well as TSU activities.
Representatives of City University Malaysia expressed interest in establishing cooperation with TSU on the implementation of an educational project by creating a joint faculty with the subsequent consideration of the possibility of opening a full-fledged branch of the Malaysian university in Termez.
It was noted that the leadership of City University Malaysia is ready to provide academic programs in such specialties as artificial intelligence, applied sciences, the Internet of Things, ICT, Big Data, according to the franchise model, including the issuance of double diplomas, training according to “2+2” standards (2 years at TSU, 2 years at City University), training the faculty and staff, as well as monitoring the quality of education.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on the substantive study and elaboration of forms and directions of interaction between the above-mentioned universities, including by signing a corresponding cooperation agreement, as well as holding regular negotiations.
