Erasmus+Educational Program for 2021-2027 presented in Tashkent


TASHKENT, April 22. /“Dunyo” IA/. The first annual working educational program Erasmus+ for 2021-2027 was presented yesterday, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of Uzbekistan, Erasmus+ National Office and the national team of experts in higher education.

It was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Innovative Development, the State Inspectorate for Supervision of Quality in Education under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan, relevant ministries, academic and administrative staff of higher education institutions, EU delegations, embassies of EU member states, Erasmus+ project teams, experts in the higher education (HERE).

Cooperation opportunities available to the higher education community of Uzbekistan for the next seven years within the framework of the most successful and long-term program of the European Union were presented at the event. Representatives of the European Commission, the Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture and the European Education and Culture Executive Agency addressed the event.

The new working program with a budget of 26.2 billion euros was adopted by the European Commission on March 25. The budget of the previous program for 2014-2020 was 14.7 billion euros.

Erasmus+ program provides opportunities for studying abroad, internships, practical training and exchanging academic staff in all areas of education, training, youth, and sports.
