Malaysia celebrates anniversaries of Alisher Navoi’s and Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur’s birth

KUALA LUMPUR, February 10. /“Dunyo” IA/. The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Malaysia hosted an online roundtable discussion on the occasion of the 581st anniversary of the founder of the Uzbek literary language Alisher Navoi and the 539th anniversary of the outstanding writer and statesman Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur’s birth, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

The event was attended by Uzbek students studying at universities in Malaysia, as well as compatriots engaged in labor activity in this country.

The participants discussed the contribution of Alisher Navoi to the development of the traditions of the Uzbek people, as well as world culture and the formation of the national Uzbek literary language.

The compatriots agreed that the priceless works of Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur remain in the focus of attention of many orientalists, literary critics and philosophers as a subject of comprehensive study.

Following the event, compatriots read excerpts from the famous works of Alisher Navoi and Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur.
