TASHKENT, December 1. /“Dunyo” IA/. Yesterday, the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan and Israel’s Agency for International Development Cooperation (MASHAV) was signed in Tashkent, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
According to Uzbekistan MIFT, the document provides for the creation of a mechanism for bilateral cooperation in agriculture and water management, environmental protection, healthcare, education and other issues of mutual interest to exchange experience and knowledge and strengthen the human resources potential of Uzbekistan with the financial support of Israel. It is planned to organize visits of Israeli specialists to Uzbekistan, conduct joint workshops, conferences and training, exchange information and best practices.
At the event, views were exchanged on further building up bilateral trade, economic, investment, financial and technical cooperation.
Agreements were reached on establishing a Business Council between the chambers of commerce and industry of the two countries, the organization of a visit of Israeli business circles to Uzbekistan to identify new areas of cooperation and the active participation of Israeli companies in the privatization of state assets in Uzbekistan.
