Samarkand hosts Uzbekistan – South Korean symposium on cultural heritage preservation


TASHKENT, November 26. /“Dunyo” IA/. In Uzbekistan, the volume of exports excluding gold reached $10,072.6 million and increased by 33.9 percent compared to the same period in 2020, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

 “Silk Road” International University of Tourism in the city of Samarkand hosts Uzbekistan – South Korean symposium on cultural heritage preservation.

The symposium is dedicated to the completion of the first stage of the project “Increasing the potential and improving the material and technical base of the museum in Uzbekistan”, implemented jointly with the Republic of Korea.

It should be noted that within the framework of the first stage of the project on a grant basis for $700 thousand, a modern laboratory for the repair of archaeological finds was created in the State Museum of the History of Culture of Uzbekistan. Masterclasses were held for specialists in the field. 95 finds were restored, a room in the museum was repaired.
