Uzbekistan’s Ambassador and member of the Malaysian Senate discuss issues of enhancing inter-parliamentary ties


KUALA LUMPUR, 23 October. / IA "Dunyo" /. The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Malaysia Ravshan Usmanov held a meeting with the senator, member of the Malaysian group in the Inter-Parliamentary Union, Lim Hui Ying in the format of videoconferencing, reports IA “Dunyo” correspondent.

The parties discussed the current state and prospects for enhancing bilateral and multilateral cooperation between the countries.

The Malaysian side deeply appreciated the large-scale reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan aimed at further liberalizing and modernizing the economy, improving public administration and the judicial-legal sphere.

A mutual interest in further enhancing cooperation and mutual support of initiatives within the framework of international organizations was confirmed.

Following the negotiations, the parties reached an agreement on the continuation of political and diplomatic connections to further expand the agenda of Uzbekistan – Malaysia interaction.
