TASHKENT, May 15. /“Dunyo” IA/. On May 13, Uzbekistan delegation led by the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Norov took part in the regular meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Commonwealth of Independent States in Dushanbe, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
According to the Uzbekistan MFA, the event, held under the chairmanship of Kazakhstan, was attended by delegations of the foreign ministries of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, as well as the CIS Executive Committee.
The participants discussed current issues of international agenda and cooperation within the Commonwealth, as well as reviewed draft multilateral documents submitted for consideration by the Councils of Heads of State and Government of the CIS.
The results of the implementation of the Plan of inter-MFA consultations and the Action Program to Enhance Partnership in 2021 between the foreign ministries of the CIS member states were approved.
Decisions have been made to grant the status of the basic organization of the CIS to the Belarusian Notary Chamber – in notary activity, the Silk Road International University of Tourism in Samarkand – in tourism.
CIS partners have been invited to the forums on industrial and interregional cooperation, creative and scientific intelligentsia to be held in Uzbekistan this year, as well as a high-level international conference on Afghanistan.
Following the meeting, it was decided to hold a regular meeting of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers on 13 October 2022 in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan.
