Uzbekistan to export textiles worth $5 million to Iran


TEHRAN, July 13. /“Dunyo” IA/. Uzbekistan delegation led by the Deputy Hokim of Kitab district of Kashkadarya region, Bakhtiyor Karimov, visited Tehran, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

Members of Uzbekistan delegation met with representatives of the North Industrial Marine Coating Co., operating in the Iranian province of Mazandaran, and got acquainted with the production base and laboratory activities of the company at the paint and varnish plant.

Talks were held for the implementation of an investment project for the production of paints and varnishes in Kitab district. An agreement was reached on organizing the visit of the Iranian delegation to Kashkadarya region in August this year and on the implementation of this joint project.

Members of Uzbekistan delegation also took part in a roundtable discussion organized by Iran Textile Exporters and Manufacturers Association to further enhance trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Iran.

A presentation of the investment, trade and economic potential of Kashkadarya region and Kitab district took place.

Following the talks, an agreement was signed on the export of textiles from Uzbekistan to Iran for $5 million on behalf of the Hokimiyat of Kitab district and the Iranian company Payam Gostar Tejarat Farda.
