MUSCAT, June 9. /Dunyo IA/. The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Oman, Abdusalom Khatamov, held a meeting with the Minister of Social Development of Oman, Laila bint Ahmed Al Najjar, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the talks, the sides discussed issues related to social protection of the population, comprehensive support for vulnerable groups, the protection of women and children, as well as the improvement of services for persons with disabilities.

The prospects for developing bilateral cooperation in these areas were also reviewed, including the exchange of experience and best practices.

As a result of the meeting, the parties reached important agreements on establishing close cooperation in the social sphere, intensifying exchanges between relevant experts, organizing mutual practical visits, and implementing joint capacity-building programs.
