Yokutkhon Kholbekova clinches gold medal at the World Para Athletics Championships in Delhi

DELHI, September 29. /Dunyo IA/. The national team of Uzbekistan continues to deliver outstanding performances at the World Para Athletics Championships currently underway in Delhi, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The championship, held from September 27 to October 7, has attracted a record number of athletes from over 100 countries.
From the very first days, the performances of Uzbek athletes have been remarkable and highly successful.
Earlier today, Yokutkhon Kholbekova delivered the highest performance in the long jump competition (T12 class) and was awarded the gold medal.
In the women’s shot put competition (F41 class), Kubaro Hakimova secured the silver medal with a throw of 10.17 meters. Another representative of our country, Navruza Akhmatova, achieved a distance of 9.49 meters, finishing in fourth place.
Shakhina Yigitalieva, competing in the javelin throw (F46 class), added another silver medal to Uzbekistan’s tally with a throw of 41.97 meters.
In the men’s shot put competition (F37 class), Tolibboy Yuldashev secured the bronze medal with a throw of 15.86 meters.
On the second day of the championships, athletics enthusiast Yorkinbek Odilov delivered an impressive performance.
A member of the Uzbekistan national team competing in the javelin throw (F57 class) secured the silver medal with a throw of 52.06 meters.
Thus far, representatives of our country have secured one gold, three silver, and one bronze medal.
The World Championships in India serve as a crucial qualifying stage for the 2028 Summer Paralympic Games.
