Deputy Foreign Ministers of Uzbekistan and Belarus Met in Minsk

MINSK, June 9. /Dunyo IA/. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Olimjon Abdullaev met with Sergey Lukashevich, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, in Minsk, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the talks, the parties discussed the current state of Uzbekistan–Belarus relations and prospects for their further development. It was noted that the agreements reached at the highest level are enriching bilateral cooperation with new substance.

The sides exchanged views on expanding trade and economic cooperation, advancing industrial cooperation projects, developing transport and logistics links, as well as deepening cooperation in the fields of education, culture and humanitarian affairs.

In addition, issues of bilateral cooperation in the consular and legal sphere were comprehensively reviewed. In particular, the parties discussed the development of cooperation in the field of migration and the establishment of direct cooperation mechanisms between the consular institutions of the two countries.

The sides also exchanged views on the schedule of upcoming events planned for this year.
