• 176OSAKA, November 8. /Dunyo IA/. Diplomats from the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Japan held a meeting with Managing Director of the travel company “Kaze Travel”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Meeting focused on the extensive promotion of Uzbekistan's cultural and gastronomic tourism potential in Japan, as well as the development of new travel programs tailored for Japanese tourists.
Managing Director of the travel company “Kaze Travel” noted that the company's clientele is primarily interested in cultural tourism and travel experiences rich in new discoveries. During their trips to Uzbekistan, they explored local bazaars in Tashkent and Samarkand, visited artisan workshops, and toured the areas surrounding Lake Aydarkul in the Navoi region. National traditions, such as suzani embroidery, pottery, as well as horse and camel riding, generated significant interest among Japanese tourists.
In this regard, it was proposed to include mahallas renowned for national crafts into tourist routes and to organize specialized thematic programs for travelers.
During the conversation, the parties also discussed the company's initiative to promote Uzbek and Central Asian cuisine in Japan.
In particular, to mark the 35th Anniversary of “Kaze Travel”, a packaged, ready-to-eat product based on lagman - one of Uzbekistan’s most famous traditional dishes - was developed in cooperation with the “World’s Cuisine Museum” and “Silk Road Kitchen AYA”. The product goes on sale in the Japanese market in November 2026.
Meeting emphasized that such initiatives play an important role in popularizing the rich cultural heritage and national cuisine of Uzbekistan in Japan, while further stimulating tourism interest in the country.
