Japanese schoolchildren learn about Uzbekistan’s Tourism and Educational Potential

• 159TOKYO, April 28. /Dunyo IA/. A study visit to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Japan was organized for students of “Otori” Junior High School, located in Fukushima City, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the event, diplomats gave a presentation on Uzbekistan's tourism potential. Students were introduced to historical cities such as Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, Shakhrisabz and Termez, as well as monuments included in the UNESCO World Heritage List and new tourism sectors rapidly developing in the country.
At the beginning of the presentation, a quiz titled “Do You Know Uzbekistan?” was organized for the schoolchildren, during which participants learned interesting facts about the country and actively answered questions.
Additionally, as part of the event, students had the opportunity to try on Uzbek national costumes, gain a closer understanding of the country's culture and traditions and ask questions of interest.
In conclusion, participants were presented with brochures and information materials about Uzbekistan's tourism opportunities.
Additionally, during the visit, a meeting was held with representatives of the Fukushima City Tourism Department to discuss the possibility of organizing school trips to Uzbekistan for local students.
