Uzbekistan emerges as medical tourism destination with 86,000 international visitors in 2025

ТASHKENT, January 27. /Dunyo IA/. In 2025, 86,199 foreign nationals visited Uzbekistan for medical treatment, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
According to the National Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan, the country is steadily consolidating its position as a leading destination for medical tourism in the region.
The majority of patients came from neighbouring countries, with Tajikistan leading at 59,145 visitors, followed by Kyrgyzstan (15,631) and Kazakhstan (8,224). Uzbekistan’s medical services also attracted citizens from Russia (1,899), Afghanistan (914), Turkmenistan (224), Türkiye (47), the United States (16), China (15), Azerbaijan (11) and other countries (73).
Experts note that the growing interest in Uzbekistan’s healthcare services reflects the improvement in medical quality, the development of specialized clinics and the creation of comfortable conditions for treatment and rehabilitation.
