ASHGABAT, January 5. /Dunyo IA/.  Turkmenistan will mark 2026 under the motto: “Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – Homeland of Purposeful Winged Steeds”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the State Information Agency “Turkmenistan Today”, the motto was approved by a resolution of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan.

Dunyagozel Gulmanova, Chairwoman of the Mejlis, told a session of the Turkmen Government that the motto was adopted “based on proposals submitted by representatives of the public, major civic organizations, labour collectives and individual citizens”.

“The upcoming year in the Eastern calendar is the Year of the Horse”, - the Mejlis resolution notes. “Turkmen horses are a national pride, an invaluable cultural treasure and a symbol of outstanding achievement”.
