First Ambassador of Uzbekistan presents credentials to the Chairperson of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina

SARAJEVO, April 14. /Dunyo IA/. The first Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Bosnia and Herzegovina, residing in Vienna, Bakhtiyor Ibragimov, presented his credentials to the Chairperson of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Željka Cvijanović, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The ceremony took place at the Presidency building, where both sides engaged in a constructive dialogue afterward, focusing on the prospects for further development of bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Special attention was given to strengthening cooperation in trade, economics, culture, and tourism.
The Chairperson of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Željka Cvijanović, commended the extensive reforms implemented in Uzbekistan over recent years under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and their positive outcomes.
Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to elevate bilateral relations to a qualitatively new level.
It is worth noting that Bakhtiyor Ibragimov had previously been accredited as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Austria, Albania, and Slovakia. In November 2023, he presented his credentials to the President of Austria, Alexander Van der Bellen, in January 2025, to the President of Albania, Bajram Begaj, and in March 2025, to the President of Slovakia, Peter Pellegrini. In October 2023, Bakhtiyor Ibragimov was also accredited as the official representative of Uzbekistan to several international organizations in Vienna, including the OSCE, UNODC, CTBTO, IAEA, and other UN agencies.
