JEDDAH, April 21. /Dunyo IA/. The Consul General of Uzbekistan, Sirojiddin Shamsutdinov, held a meeting with the Director of the branch of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia in the city of Jeddah Fareed bin Saad Al-Shehri, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the meeting, Fareed bin Saad Al-Shehri congratulated the Consul General of Uzbekistan on his new appointment and presented the original consular exequatur signed by the head of the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He also emphasized that the Ministry’s office in Jeddah would provide comprehensive support to the Consulate General of Uzbekistan on all matters.

The discussion highlighted the significant strengthening of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia in recent years across all areas. Particular attention was given to the importance of exchanging information on upcoming international exhibitions, festivals, and conferences in the fields of trade, economy, tourism, science, and culture, as well as the necessity of ensuring participation by representatives of both countries in these events.

The sides exchanged views on the possibility of establishing a Uzbek Language and Culture Center at the Consulate General.

Additionally, the meeting covered the organization of the 2025 Hajj season, particularly focusing on creating favorable conditions for Uzbek pilgrims.
