CAIRO, December 18. /Dunyo IA/. A meeting was held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan with members of the working group from the IT Park under the Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The meeting reviewed the results of the working group’s practical visit to Cairo, which took place from December 7–12, and discussed agreements reached during the visit.
It was noted that collaboration between IT Park and relevant Egyptian companies is still at an early stage, but initial promising projects involving Egyptian investment are already taking shape.
Currently, the company NEN FOR INFORMATION TECH is the sole Egyptian resident at IT Park. The company provides licensed eExam solutions for Arabic-language formats with RTL support, as well as AI-based monitoring services, employing 15 specialists.
During the practical visit to Cairo, bilateral negotiations were held with more than ten leading Egyptian companies, including F6Ventures, EgyRobo, V.Connct, ACT International, Plug and Play Egypt, among others. As a result, specific plans were outlined to expand and strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation.
Measures are currently being developed to enter the Uzbek market with 10 new Egyptian companies, create approximately 250 new jobs, and increase the annual export of IT and BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) services to USD 2 million. In this regard, Egypt is expected to become one of the strategically significant and rapidly developing markets for the export of Uzbek IT services over the next two years.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides confirmed their mutual interest in further developing and supporting cooperation between Uzbekistan and Egypt in the field of information and communication technologies.
