Uzbekistan’s tourism potential and cultural heritage presented in Warsaw

WARSAW, June 9. /Dunyo IA/. A cultural event showcasing the tourism potential and rich heritage of Uzbekistan took place at the Przeswit Foundation Gallery in Warsaw, the capital of Poland, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The event was organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in collaboration with the Polish non-governmental organization Lunartis, and was attended by over 100 participants, including representatives of the media, academic institutions, and the artistic community
During the event, Uzbek diplomats and Lunartis founder Sofia Kaspar delivered remarks highlighting Uzbekistan’s socio-economic reforms, its historical and cultural legacy, and its growing attractiveness as a tourism destination.
A photo exhibition by French photographer Mr. William Hannadoux was featured, capturing the cultural diversity and scenic landscapes of Uzbekistan. In addition, Uzbek entrepreneur and artist Ms. Laziza Nikolaeva presented a collection dedicated to traditional Uzbek attire.
Particular interest was drawn to the historical section of the exhibition curated by Polish journalist and historian Igor Stroetsky. He showcased rare archival family photographs of his great-grandfather, Mr. Leon Barszczewski — a noted traveler, researcher, and photographer who served in Turkestan in the late 19th century.
Throughout the event, live traditional music was performed, creating an atmosphere of cultural immersion. Guests were also presented with video materials highlighting Uzbekistan’s architectural landmarks and historical sites.
