TOKYO, November 6. /Dunyo IA/. Today, a fair showcasing food products grown and produced in Uzbekistan was held in Tokyo, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the telegram-channel of the Embassy of Uzbekistan, the event was organized with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan, in cooperation with the Agency for Plant Quarantine and Protection.
More than 70 Japanese companies — including importers, distributors, and private business representatives — took part in the fair. Guests had the opportunity to discover high-quality Uzbek food products such as fresh fruits (grapes, melons, pomegranates, lemons, persimmons, and more), dried goods, and learn about their unique taste and export potential.
All the products presented at the fair are officially approved for import into Japan with appropriate phytosanitary certification.
As part of the event, bilateral B2B meetings were held, leading to several trade agreements. Participants discussed prospects for expanding exports of Uzbekistan’s fruit and vegetable products to the Japanese market, along with logistics and certification matters.
