Italy records one of its strongest earthquakes in decades

ROME, August 1. /Dunyo IA/. A magnitude 4.7 earthquake struck yesterday in the Campi Flegrei volcanic area near Naples, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
According to the Russian news portal RBC, the tremor was one of the strongest recorded in the region in recent decades. The earthquake's epicentre was located at a depth of approximately 3 kilometers, and several aftershocks were recorded following the main quake.
The earthquake caused damage to a number of buildings and infrastructure facilities. According to preliminary reports, 21 people were injured, including two who sustained serious injuries. Authorities temporarily restricted traffic and launched inspections of buildings in the areas most affected by the seismic activity.
Campi Flegrei is regarded as one of Europe's most active volcanic zones. Experts continue to monitor seismic activity in the region and assess the potential consequences of the earthquake.
