Foreign Ministers of Uzbekistan and Cyprus signed the agreement on the exception of visa requirements for holders of diplomatic passports

TASHKENT, May 15. /"Dunyo" IA/. Today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov held negotiations with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus Constantinos Kombos, reports "Dunyo" IA correspondent.

"Welcomed Foreign Minister of Cyprus H.E. Constantinos Kombos today at the Ministry, – the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan wrote in his telegram channel. – Our agenda focused on expanding Uzbekistan–Cyprus bilateral relations in all dimensions, strengthening the legal framework of cooperation, supporting friendly ties between parliaments, and more. Undoubtedly, facilitating dynamic economic diplomacy remains our top priority. Happy to sign the intergovernmental agreement on the exception of visa requirements for holders of diplomatic passports".
It is worth recalling that the foreign ministers of Uzbekistan and Cyprus, in September 2023 on the sidelines of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly in New York City, held talks at which they discussed the implementation of existing potential in Uzbekistan–Cyprus relations, expanding the legal framework of cooperation, political consultations between ministries of foreign affairs, enhancing interparliamentary dialogue.
