International surgical team to provide free medical treatment to patients in Aral Sea region

TASHKENT, April 30. /Dunyo IA/. Yesterday in Tashkent, a meeting took place between the Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Munira Aminova, and the First Deputy Minister of Health, Davron Sultonov, and the head of the International Surgical Group "Al-Amal", Hisham Burizq, along with the Manager of the Kuwaiti charitable organization "Sheikh Abdullah Al-Nouri",

According to the MFA, during the meeting, the objectives of the ongoing humanitarian mission were discussed, including the provision of free diagnostics and treatment for approximately 500 patients in the Aral Sea region. The parties emphasized the importance of the initiative in strengthening public health and expanding access to modern medical services.
The Advisor to the Minister highlighted the significance of this humanitarian mission for Karakalpakstan, noting that the project would not only improve public health, but also strengthen bilateral cooperation between the countries in the field of healthcare. Organizational matters, planning of upcoming operations, and the further expansion of cooperation in the medical field were also discussed during the meeting. Throughout the dialogue, both parties expressed interest in developing long-term partnerships, including the implementation of joint medical programs, the organization of training events, and the exchange of experience between specialists from both countries.
It is worth recalling that on April 15, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Munira Aminova, met in Kuwait City with the Director of the Kuwaiti charitable organization "Sheikh Abdullah Al-Nouri", Abdullatif Al-Zafiri.
The parties discussed preparations for a humanitarian mission by the international surgical group "Al-Amal" (HOPE), which is scheduled to visit Karakalpakstan from April 28 to May 6, 2025.
