SAMARKAND, April 7. /Dunyo IA/. On April 5, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Munira Aminova, held a meeting with UNIDO’s Deputy Director General, Ciyong Zou, within the framework of the Samarkand Climate Forum, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the meeting, they discussed topical projects and areas of co-operation between Uzbekistan and UNIDO aimed at sustainable development and environmental initiatives in the country.
Particular attention was paid to the implementation of ongoing projects in the field of industrial modernisation, creation of eco-industrial parks, as well as introduction of technologies to improve energy efficiency. Prospects for the development of smart agriculture, circular economy, as well as raising the textile industry to a qualitatively new level through the development of the Uzbek national brand were discussed.
At the end of the meeting, further steps to intensify co-operation were outlined.
