TASHKENT, April 16. /Dunyo IA/. The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bobur Usmanov met on April 14 with the Secretary General of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) Kairat Sarybay, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the MFA, during the discussion, the current state and prospects of multifaceted co-operation between Uzbekistan and CICA were discussed. Special attention was paid to the activation of CICA mechanisms aimed at deepening trade-economic and transport-logistical ties in the Asian region.
The sides also exchanged views on topical issues on the regional and international agenda, including on improving CICA's activities and enhancing its authority in the international arena.
