ASHGABAT, April 25. /Dunyo IA/. Chief editor of "News Central Asia" (nCa), Tarik Saidov, shared his thoughts with Dunyo IA regarding the significance of the meeting held on April 23-24 between the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in Samarkand:

– The busy schedule of Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov covered a number of events, including the detailed talks with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in Samarkand and a visit to the "Hazrati Xizr" complex to pay respect to the first president of Uzbekistan, Islam Karimov.
During the talks of this level, the leaders typically review the entire spectrum of bilateral partnerships and discuss the important matters of mutual concern at regional and international levels. The talks between Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President Shavkat Mirziyoyev were no exception.
From the point of view of Uzbekistan, it was an opportunity to add some new colors to an already beautiful painting – one that encapsulates centuries of brotherhood in a thin slice of time.
The visit of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, demonstrates that the regional leaders are on the same page and the region is able and willing to not only maintain its unity but to play a proactive role in the world affairs.
