Uzbekistan and Poland agree on new investment projects and business missions

• 239WARSAW, July 12. /Dunyo IA/. An Uzbek-Polish business forum took place in Warsaw, drawing over 200 company representatives from both nations, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Forum was attended by an Uzbekistan delegation led by Davron Vakhabov, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The delegation included representatives from key sectors, including manufacturing, agriculture, the food industry, electrical engineering, logistics, construction, textiles, pharmaceuticals, information technology, finance and services.
Among the Polish participants were Michał Kamiński, First Deputy Marshal of the Senate; Andrzej Arendarski, President of the Polish National Chamber of Commerce; representatives from the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology and the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH); as well as heads of business organizations and companies.
Participants highlighted the high potential for cooperation between the two countries and highly praised the ongoing economic reforms in Uzbekistan, the improvement of the investment climate and the support provided to the private sector.
Industrial cooperation, agricultural processing, electrical engineering, pharmaceuticals, construction, textiles, digital technologies, e-commerce, logistics and transportation were named as the main areas for further interaction.
Polish side emphasized that Uzbekistan is one of Poland's most promising partners in Central Asia, noting that the two countries possess complementary economic capabilities. Role of the direct Warsaw–Tashkent flight route, launched by “LOT Polish Airlines” in 2024, was also highlighted as a key driver in developing business and investment ties.
Within the framework of the forum, it was announced that Jarosław Podolski, Advisor to the President of the Polish National Chamber of Commerce, has been appointed as the President of the Polish-Uzbek Business Council.
Parties also discussed prospects for increasing bilateral trade turnover to 1 billion dollars, as well as implementing joint projects in manufacturing, high technologies, energy, agriculture, logistics, and the digital economy.
Following the negotiations, a series of agreements were reached: to conduct a business mission of the Polish National Chamber of Commerce to Uzbekistan in October 2026, to open a PAIH representative office in Tashkent, to attract Polish companies to the “Termez” International Trade Center, and to prepare for the 9th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic and Trade Cooperation between Uzbekistan and Poland in 2027.
In addition, the parties agreed to boost the participation of companies from both countries in international exhibitions, develop educational cooperation by opening branches of Polish universities, expand labor migration and provide assistance in simplifying the visa application process for citizens of Uzbekistan.
