MOSCOW, 2 November. /Dunyo IA/. “Rossiyskaya Gazeta”, a Russian federal daily newspaper, has published an article entitled “Mirziyoyev Calls for Expanded Scientific Cooperation Among Central Asian Countries”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Article notes that, in his address to participants of the International Education Forum in Tashkent, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev described quality education as a key prerequisite for the development of Central Asia.
Head of State noted that education had become one of the priorities of Uzbekistan’s state policy. “A recently adopted decree has brought the management of pre-school, school, vocational and higher education, as well as science, into a unified system. This is intended to ensure continuity between the different stages of learning, from acquiring basic knowledge to training qualified specialists and researchers”, publication quotes him as saying.
Addressing regional cooperation, the President emphasized that challenges such as water scarcity, energy security, climate change and technological transformations in the labour market require joint efforts. He called for broader partnerships between universities, the launch of joint educational programs and research projects, and support for exchanges of students and researchers.
“Our strategic goal in this area is to transform Central Asia into a region of mutual trust and friendship and a unified intellectual space bringing together science, advanced technologies and innovation”, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev added.
