Uzbekistan plans to Introduce Hungarian Technology for Road Bitumen Production

BUDAPEST, November 2. /Dunyo IA/. Negotiations were held in Budapest between the management of the Hungarian company “MOL Group” and representatives of the Uzbek company “SHB ROAD INVEST” on the introduction of rubber-modified bitumen (RMB) production technology for road construction in Uzbekistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Meeting was organized with the assistance of the Embassy of Uzbekistan as part of efforts to expand industrial cooperation and attract advanced technologies. The value of the project under consideration stands at $35 million.

RMB technology involves using crumb rubber, obtained from the recycling of worn-out automobile tires, as an additive to road bitumen. This approach enables the utilization of recycled materials in the production of road construction components.

As a result of diplomatic efforts, “SHB ROAD INVEST” was engaged as the Uzbek partner for the project. The parties signed a memorandum of cooperation, providing for further joint development of the technology's implementation in Uzbekistan.

Execution of this initiative is expected to contribute to the development of modern road material production, expand automobile tire recycling, and strengthen technological ties between the enterprises of the two countries. Embassy of Uzbekistan will continue to facilitate interaction between the companies and support practical steps to implement the agreements.
