Uzbekistan and Spain strengthen cooperation in the porcelain industry

MADRID, May 11. /Dunyo IA/. Embassy of Uzbekistan organized a meeting between representatives of the Angren city khokimiyat (administration) and the Spanish companies “Gedepsa”, “Enhol Group” and “Systemfoc”, which specialize in porcelain production, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects of localizing porcelain production in Uzbekistan by attracting leading Spanish brands, modern production lines, and technological solutions. The Spanish side expressed interest in organizing production directly within Uzbekistan, utilizing the local industrial base, raw materials and manufacturing facilities.
The industrial and investment potential of the city of Angren was presented to the Spanish companies, along with existing production sites and enterprises where modern Spanish technologies, equipment, and investments could be integrated. Particular attention was paid to the opportunities for modernizing current facilities, expanding the product range and enhancing export potential.
Special focus was also placed on the supply of advanced equipment, the implementation of energy-efficient and innovative technologies and the establishment of joint ventures targeted at both the domestic market and exports to regional countries.
The parties noted the high potential of the city of Angren as one of the country's industrial centers for the development of the porcelain industry and emphasized the importance of expanding industrial cooperation between Uzbek enterprises and Spanish manufacturers. Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue substantive negotiations and elaborate on joint investment projects.
