JINHUA, July 13. /Dunyo IA/.  Within the framework of the visit of the staff of the General Consulate of Uzbekistan to Pujiang County of Jinhua City, a meeting with the County Mayor Liu Qi, the “Uzbekistan–China” Business Forum, and negotiations with representatives of large Chinese companies were held, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the meeting, Liu Qi noted that thanks to the efforts and political will of the leaders of Uzbekistan and China, bilateral relations have reached the highest level. He emphasized the readiness of the Chinese side to further develop interregional cooperation, as well as to support joint projects and initiatives in areas of mutual interest.

Uzbek side invited the Mayor of Pujiang to visit Uzbekistan to expand interregional cooperation. Liu Qi supported the initiative and expressed readiness to organize a visit of a business mission, which will include representatives of the county's major companies.

Business forum was attended by representatives of the Pujiang Mayor's Office, the County Investment Attraction Center, the National Pavilion of Uzbekistan in Hangzhou, the Pujiang Cross-Border E-Commerce Institute, the Zhejiang University of International Studies, as well as more than 60 companies operating in the fields of energy, automotive, pharmaceuticals, textiles, construction and mining.

Participants were presented with the investment potential of Uzbekistan, the advantages of doing business, as well as information on ongoing economic reforms, economic liberalization, the creation of a favorable investment climate and the diversification of foreign trade. Following the forum, the parties discussed promising areas of cooperation and agreed to organize business missions of Chinese entrepreneurs to the regions of Uzbekistan.

In addition, negotiations were held with the leadership of “Zhejiang Juyitang Garment Co., Ltd.” and “Zhejiang Pujiang Bohu Chain Co., Ltd.”, during which the possibilities of establishing the production of textile products and tire protection chains in Uzbekistan were discussed.

Furthermore, during a meeting with Ni Bulun, Chairman of “Pujiang Jida Home Textile Co., Ltd.,” the Chinese side announced that it is considering relocating part of its production to Uzbekistan due to operational difficulties faced by the company's enterprises in other countries. Parties agreed to organize a visit of the company's representatives to Uzbekistan by the end of this year.
