Robert Wexler: American Companies express strong interest in Uzbekistan

TASHKENT, June 17. /Dunyo IA/. Robert Wexler, an independent member of the Board of Directors of “Petrocas Energy Group” who is participating in the 5th Tashkent International Investment Forum in the capital of Uzbekistan, granted an exclusive interview to a Dunyo IA correspondent.

-  American companies are expressing strong interest in Uzbekistan due to the significant opportunities emerging here, as well as the dynamics of demographic growth. An equally important factor is the consistent and constructive vision for the country’s development, which was presented by the leadership of Uzbekistan in Washington and is currently being implemented within the state. This leaves a profound impression and is substantiated by tangible results. Particular note is made of the active role played by regional and local authorities, who are being granted additional powers to ensure swift decision-making and the creation of a highly favorable business environment.

The company “Petrocas Energy Group”, which I represent as a director, plans to implement approximately 100 projects in Uzbekistan within the fuel retail sector and the construction of filling stations across the country. In addition, avenues for enhancing efficiency in the oil refining sector, as well as in the aviation industry, are being considered.

Within the framework of these activities, it is envisioned to create at least 3,000 jobs. Furthermore, the introduction of American technologies valued at around 100 million dollars is anticipated, with the total volume of investment projected at approximately 350 million dollars.
