OSH, June 17. /Dunyo IA/.   Consulate General of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with a representative of “Barbol”, one of Kyrgyzstan’s renowned confectionery companies, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The parties discussed the role of sports in strengthening friendship and mutual understanding between peoples, and exchanged views on issues of multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.

The representative of the “Barbol” company Usen Kadyrov, emphasized that the participation of the Uzbekistan national team in the World Cup is a significant event for the entirety of Central Asia, and extended wishes of immense success to our national team in the upcoming matches. He noted that through sports, the bonds of friendship between our countries are being further strengthened and every achievement in the region is received with great satisfaction by neighboring peoples.

On the occasion of the Uzbekistan national football team’s participation in the World Cup, the company representatives presented a specially decorated festive cake to the Consulate General. The confectionery featured images of the Uzbekistan national team players alongside the national flags of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. Furthermore, it was highlighted that the cake's design was crafted as a symbol of close fraternity, mutual respect and solidarity between the peoples of the two countries.

Football has today become a means that unites millions of people. The participation and achievements of the Uzbekistan national team in international competitions are followed with great interest and support not only within the country, but also in neighboring states. In this sense, this initiative carried out by Kyrgyzstan’s “Barbol” company has become yet another vivid example of the sincere relations between the two nations.
