BUSAN, May 30. /Dunyo IA/. The “Global Citizen Festival in Busan 2026” international festival has taken place in the South Korean city of Busan, where the Embassy of Uzbekistan participated with a national pavilion, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During this prestigious international event, Uzbekistan’s rich cultural heritage, national traditions and tourism potential were extensively promoted.

The national pavilion, decorated in a traditional style, showcased Uzbek national costumes, applied arts and crafts, promotional materials on Uzbekistan's tourism opportunities, as well as samples of national cuisine.

The works of Uzbek artisans, characterized by their vibrant diversity, delicate craftsmanship, unique patterns, and rich artistic traditions, drew significant interest from the festival organizers, participants and guests.

Cheon Yeong-woo, head of the popular South Korean radio station “BeFM”, noted that the event allowed him to become better acquainted with Uzbekistan's rich cultural heritage, ancient traditions, and unique examples of traditional applied arts.

-  I was particularly impressed by the silk products and handicraft works, which allowed for a deeper understanding of the unique cultural identity of your country, - he emphasized.

For her part, Jin Hyang-ja, head of the Korea International Fashion Exchange Association, stated that Uzbekistan’s exhibition left her with the warmest impressions.

-  The national fabrics, handicrafts, and tourism information materials presented at the exhibition vividly reflect the rich cultural heritage and centuries-old traditions of your country. The materials dedicated to Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, Tashkent and Shakhrisabz allowed us to learn even more about the role of Uzbekistan not only in Central Asia, but also in the development of world civilization, - she said.

It was emphasized that such events contribute to the further strengthening of cultural ties and mutual understanding between the peoples of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea.
